How to be saved, simplified

 Q: Why do you love the Lord Jesus?

A: Because He first loved me and rescued me.

Q: What do you mean by "He rescued me"?

A: Have you ever told a lie?

Q: Yes.

A: Have you ever stolen something?

Q: Yes.

A: Then what does that make you?

Q: I suppose a liar and a thief; if I am honest about my actions.

A: Right! Then you are a sinner, and sinners will

receive just recompense. In other words, they will be judged on Judgment Day by

the Creator of the universe.

Q: Who is that?

A: The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Q: So how do I avoid that judgment?

A: Believe with all your heart that the Lord Jesus died on a cruel, rugged cross. He was crucified as a sinner yet was without sin; He never breached one of God's commandments. God became a man (Jesus), born of a virgin (Mary), and He lived on earth for 33 years, giving hope to the weak and sickly. He was tried as a sinner, found guilty, and then crucified. On the third day, God raised Him from the dead. Now that He has paid the price for sinners, we need to be covered by His act, His righteousness, to escape God's judgment. It is coming. If we confess our sins, acknowledge that we need forgiveness, and cry out to the Lord Jesus, believing that He paid the price for our sins and that God raised Him from the dead, and we are willing to confess that with our mouths, we will be saved. In other words, we will escape the judgment that will come upon all men and women who reject this gift of grace from God.

"Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.  For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:9-11)

This is how we are defined on social media, where do you fit? There is a definite decline in the mindset of the Gen Z generation of God's laws, which is evident especially, for the older generation. The world and its morals are intensifying out of control. The thought of the law of God is almost non-existent, but do not be fooled God will have the final say!

 

This deception that has gained traction and gaining momentum at an express pace is the mind set of so many Gen Z’s. We as the Gen X have destroyed their earth and we are to blame. The planet is dying! There is enough scientific evidence to prove deterioration. However, we as a species do not have it in our power to save or destroy God's creation, which is simply another lie. God will decide the outcome of His creation not us as the created. No matter how much plastic we contain, or how many trees we plant, it will never sway God’s judgment. Judgment is coming and it is frightening to fall into the hands of the Living God! So turn to Him while you still can, the hour of Grace is still open to all, call out to Jesus, cry for rescue, confess your sin, and turn to His amazing stretched-out arms. So many are oblivious to what is coming but those who have been born again and washed in the blood of the Lamb know that the storm is coming. I can't put it any simpler get in line with God's plan, come the way of the Bible's instruction or you will pay a price almost too extreme to mention, but because the love of God compels me to be honest and declare His truth, hell a place of torment will be your end.

 

The time is coming when the lies from leaders and organisations will right off the natural disasters and their intensifying destruction as evidence of our folly and nothing more than global warming. But I say, on the evidence of God’s Word it’s the beginning of HIS judgment! Why? Because we now serve the planet instead of the creator, we as the world have turned our backs on God and he has had enough. JUDGMENT IS COMING!

 

“As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?” And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray.” (Matthew 24:3-4)

 

Some points to take note of… 

·         His disciples ask him a targeted question about the end of an age.

·         But before he specifies specifics he warns them about “deception”. This is extremely important and we must be alert to the lies of the nations.

 

“For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.” (Matthew 24:5-8) 

 

Now we need to examine some details, aids to help, and warning signs, which should heighten our sensors. As for me, this is an exciting time. The privilege God has given His children, insight into what is to come, hallowed be HIS NAME! 

  

Many will come with a message of hope but those who fall into the trap will be the ones deceived. Here is the essence of the deceptive lie; “For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.” (2 John 1:7) 

 

·          Something like the blind leading the blind and both fall into the ditch…

·         “Wars and rumors of wars” – that has been happening for a long time, but with Israel at the center of things is interesting. And we are told not to be alarmed, “for this must take place, but the end is not yet.” 

·         “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom”, this has already begun and it will intensify all around the Israeli conflict.

·         “There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” – Need I say any more on this…?

·         Our Saviour likens these events to a woman about to give birth, what a beautiful analogy, the end is not here yet but close! “All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.”

 

Warning given two thousand years ago about our time in history, will you pay attention to it, or gladly bury your head in the sand and hope for the best?

GOD THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE- HAS A PLAN FOR ALL OF IT! HIS DESIGN AND HIS ORDER---PERIOD! However, this is the general politically correct fence sitter view…

“The concept of a supreme being or deity that created the universe is a common theme in many religions and cultures around the world. Whether or not there is such a being is a matter of faith and personal belief. There is no scientific evidence to prove or disprove the existence of God.

The idea of a creator God often comes with the belief that this being has a plan for the universe and everything in it. This plan can be seen as benevolent or malevolent, depending on the interpretation. Some people believe that God's plan is ultimately good and that everything happens for a reason, while others believe that God is indifferent to human suffering or even actively harmful.

There is no one right answer to the question of whether or not God has a plan for the universe. This is a matter of personal belief and faith. Each individual must decide for themselves what they believe to be true. It is important to respect the beliefs of others, even if you do not share them. Everyone has the right to their faith and beliefs.”

Do they? Let’s put a logical spin on this. If you believe there is a supreme being which there obviously is, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is what I believe with all my heart, and am so convinced about that truth that I would by the grace of God be willing to die for this truth. Be that as it may, whatever we may believe as individuals is irrelevant if there is a creator of the universe pulling all the strings. Regardless of our opinions, if we do not line up with his plan we are in trouble, BIG TROUBLE! He would be the final authority not us or our humanitarian people pleasing opinions that feed the lie.

Remember the warning in my last post? It's all about deception, Satan’s greatest weapon is to get the masses to believe a lie, and spin some jargon other than what is true. The Ai's view case in point.

As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord, I've made up my mind but where do you stand or sit? Get it wrong and the consequences are eternal.

It’s all about deciding on what, where, and to whom you will place your allegiance. Will you hold the Bible as the ultimate textbook as it were, with the keys and answers to life? Will you cry out to Jesus to find forgiveness for your sins and believe what is written? Because if you continue to fence-sit you have passively made your choice and the consequences will be catastrophic…

“And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:13-15) 

I think it would be important to draw on some points from this text…

·         Once we die it doesn’t end there…

·         Judgment

·         Sentenced into the place called the Lake of Fire

·         Not one death but two –  “This is the second death”

·         A registration book – the book of life

 

I trust this will get us all to give some serious thought to where we stand on such a crucial topic.

Beware deception!!

There was some interest received when I posted another entry into my blog last week. To be honest that was rather encouraging. I was asked some questions and a question that resonated was “Why did I stop?” The answer is simple, Facebook blocked me. It was the main vehicle used to tag my posts. This has now fired a need to warn others about upcoming events that most are oblivious to. God the creator of the universe and the introduction of mankind was a time known as the beginning (IN THE BEGINNING – Genesis 1; 1).

 

Without going into too much detail about biblical truth on any given topic, by the grace of God I have decided to use this platform as a truth indicator. Those who are interested will pay attention and consider what is being revealed. The blind will continue to lead each other into the ditch.

 

My only point of reference will be the Holy Bible and what has been written in it…

 

The only question you need to ask yourselves is will you believe what has been written or not?

 

There are many different religions, but only one true God, the creator of all things, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

 

There is also only one way to open the doors to heaven and that is through Christ, The Lord Jesus Christ, and the One who lived a sinless life in a flesh and blood body never breaching one of God's laws. He was crucified; and died and on the third day, God rose him from the dead making a way, and opening a bridge for us to get back to our Creator. Before that, it was the Jewish way always trying to attain a law of standards. But now everything had been bundled into one person's sacrifice and it's through Him and his accomplishment that we can now communicate with God. We have direct access and can now cry “Abba Father”. The most common thread for mankind to make it into heaven is if they meet certain criteria, if their good deeds outweigh the bad they have a good chance of getting into heaven, THAT IS A LIE! For it's by grace that we have been saved through faith. The Lord Jesus has opened the way and every other way is a lie!

 

Before this God expected his people to follow a set of Laws. God handed these laws to Moses on Mount Sinai. Known to all as the “Ten Commandments.” However, when it was crunch time they as a nation rejected the Lord Jesus as their true Messiah thus allowing us the Gentiles opportunity to cry out to Him and find forgiveness for our sins. The Twelve Apostles and the Gospel started with Jewish men. This was their message, look to Jesus, confess yourselves as sinners, and then call out to Him for salvation… Not complicated by a very simple message; “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:12-13)

 

My objective from here on out will be to warn people about the lies the world is spinning. A lot of hot air, a distraction if you would like, or static when turning a dial whilst searching for a particular channel. The floods in Dubai are a case in point, heavy floods in what is a normal desert, they cry “Global warming or Cloud Seeding!” when it’s simply God bringing judgment. The day of His revenge is coming and it's now beginning, think about it like a woman going into labour, and the beginning of birth pains. Today is the day to cry out to Jesus find forgiveness for your sins and have your eyes opened to the truth. Because “winter is coming”.    

 

DECEPTION… BEWARE!!

 

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (Revelations 20:2-3) 

 

Conclusion: Beware of all the voices that are so brilliantly packaged to take your eyes away from the truth and get you to believe something else. Anything against the norm in creation will be explained away with some scientific jargon attached beware of deception… Every answer to every question can be found out. But it all starts with Jesus Christ!

 

The Question I have for you is, will you believe what has been written?

Privilege...

It is times like these that excite me when I roll out of bed in the early hours of the morning. 3 am and there is an absolute stillness besides the humming coming from my computer fan, even the neighborhood dogs are sleeping. There is beauty here, my thoughts and conversation running around in my mind excited to hear from God. With the Bible open I explore answers to my questions. What a privilege, how many can claim the same tuition? God the Holy Spirit is the ultimate Teacher. He was there from the beginning. Who better to turn to for inspiration? Thankfully, we are not left to our vain imaginations that are always looking to run away with themselves. WE HAVE the WORD of GOD, the Bible to confirm every consideration. Not many can claim such a privilege! Thank you my great God and King for calling me by name, a man so undeserving, so disqualified, and yet forgiven. It boggles my mind when I think of the extent God will go for His children, LOVE CONQURES ALL!   

 

Thank you Father God for sending your Son, my Saviour to die a cruel death. He paid the price for my sin, our (the believers') sins have been washed white as snow so that I and Christians scattered abroad can now cry out “ABBA FATHER”. This is beyond the grasp of so many. But for us who have been called, the chosen of God, we will never be able to pay back the debt. My prayer is that whatever the cost, help us all find the grace to glorify our Saviour, come what may! The time is just around the corner for so many of us, give us the strength to conquer, and I know we will receive the strength required to accomplish what needs to be done.

A reminder...

 What is the glue that holds the Christians' faith intact with the only true and living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? Obviously, it is the Lord Jesus! However, there is a catalyst that binds us to our God, FAITH! Without it we will never please our God, in fact, it is an impossible quest. Here is the proof; “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) – For the sake of time and word count, I will not unpack the rest of this chapter; but read, digest and understand the importance of faith in our lives. Read the chapter slowly, think about each person’s life, and then see how you measure up.

 

Practically how does this play out into everyday life? It should never be with a gambler's mindset, they hedge their bets, minimizing the chances of failure. It has to be with our lot and trust in our God, an all-in move. That is what is required. This lesson is a constant struggle for most of us as we often find ourselves getting in the way. But thank God that He is gracious and long-suffering toward us. Nevertheless, the lesson must be learnt if we grow in our heavenly Father's knowledge and grace. This is a lesson that cannot be avoided. I often wondered why the Lord sent his disciples out without any provision or money in their pockets for their upcoming journeys. Here is the lesson in its practicality; “And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. And he said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.” (Luke 9:1-3) – The most important job to ever befall a group of people and that is how they were sent! With absolutely no endowment of self-sustaining provisions to conquer. Total trust and dependency in their God, without this type of test our faith will never have a character of its own, “standing the test of time”. Almost an impossible task, but by the grace of God here we stand.

 

Faith must and will feed our hope, just like a vehicle needs the energy to drive it, so too do we need faith to energize our hope; heaven and all its glory! Not only that, we hope in God to supply our daily needs as and when required. It’s the now that is tested, which shall be rewarded later…
