Judgment is coming for all. In one form or another, we will all have to stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Why will this be so significant for both the sinner and the saint? It will determine our eternities. Forget every cuddling lie you have embraced to soften the blow you have lapped up in the hope of a miracle. The most bandied-about comfort wishes is this; May they rest in peace! We all have brothers, sisters, grandparents, mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles. The probability of someone no longer being with us is high. They have passed from this life to the next, Something beyond our control. Let us be honest about this, many will not be resting in peace, but we would rather lie to ourselves even if we are unaware of that reality. I too have loved ones that have gone on to the next life and some may be in torment.
We live because we were given life at birth, and with
that comes a responsibility, we act out and then die and await judgment. This
is the cycle of life, whether you like it or not. We did not choose to be here,
God made that choice, he created the universe and the world in a time referred
to as “in the beginning”. He alone had it in his power to make that choice and did
exactly that. He has placed our existence constrained to certain criteria and
it is up to us to work it out and end up on the right side of his judgment. Our
opinion has no bearing on the outcome. We are sinners and our hearts are
desperately wicked at their core, we always place ourselves before others.
Sure, we may have acts of kindness linked to our decisions throughout our
lifetimes, but never at the expense of our well-being. Giving to the poor is
never at the expense of your children going without. We always come first in
our little bubbled lives. Human nature is designed to look out for self-first
and then others.
With the above in mind, how do you get them to believe
a lie? You continue to push a false narrative, but it cannot be so far out
there that it is obvious. So, anything which moves us from the truth is where
Satan lies in his web of deception. False religion, origins of mankind,
headship or the order of God, and the like and then you have the pride of life,
the lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh is where this all plays out.
Entrapment to get us to believe lies is where we live, and it all goes back to
the sin of one-man Adam. Did you know that even the lie has a father, the
devil? “You are of your father the devil,
and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the
beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44) – So what is his greatest weapon? Deceit!
Once hooked into that
deceit we live with a terminal illness which will affect our spiritual
existence leaving us oblivious to it all. But praise God for his beloved Son my
glorious Saviour, even Jesus Christ my Lord! He alone opens our eyes to this
reality. This is why we need an event in our lives to change that reality,
commonly known as the born-again experience. It is rather simple; this event
opens our understanding of God's spiritual realm. It is a miraculous event of
catastrophic proportions. It is not enough to be sprinkled as a baby or grow up
in a religious household. That is even more deadly, it's like being vaccinated.
Just enough religion to keep the truth at bay.
Did you know that all
those who remain in darkness, insensible to this reality will end up in hell,
or to be more accurate the Lake of Fire? “and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake
of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be
tormented day and night forever and ever.” (Revelation
20:10)
How then can one find rescue? The love of God personified, all those
who call on the name of Jesus shall be saved from the Lake of Fire.
“For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth
one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes
in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew
and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who
call on him. For
“everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:10)
You now have the truth and the means whereby you can find rescue what
will you do with it?
Signing out
