Another watchman's call...

 A watchman’s cry is never anticipated; however, watchmen are strategically placed to warn of imminent danger. If the trumpet sounds, immediate action is required. When the warning is ignored, the outcome is often catastrophic. If not heard, then we were in the wrong place to start with. “Birds of a feather flock together” is common knowledge; everyone understands.

I remember a song we used to sing when I was newly saved, “say will you be ready when Jesus comes”. With emphasis placed upon our positional place in the finished work of the cross.  I wonder how many understand today's urgency. It’s extremely important to dress for battle, we must be a people that is Bible-saturated, and there are so many conflicting voices that if we miss this we may miss out on one of the greatest events of all time, the return of our Saviour.

The Bible refers to this specific event, and this is how our beloved brother Paul pens it; “I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.” (1Corinthians 15:53)

A fairytale to the blind and unsaved, nevertheless the Christians' greatest hope. A trumpet will sound and the Lord Jesus will return and the Christians living on the earth will experience this miraculous event and be changed in the blink of an eye, one minute going about daily activities in our human corruptible bodies and then the switch, into a glorious eternal body with timeless properties attached. Let this truth sink in the next time we are confronted with temptation.

The weakness of our flesh is a pitiful thing. It has been corrupted by sin and is constantly dying. So many of us spend so much time on it in one way or another, what a calamity. There is a day coming when the Christians will receive their glorified bodies. Bodies made up of different substances and with eternal properties, the best way for our carnal brains to process this, think about a Marvel action hero with superhuman strength. A body capable of standing on the sun's surface, or with vital organs that never need to be repaired, the imagination can run riot if given liberty. Without going beyond what has been written, there is a day coming when we will be reunited with our God and King and it will be glorious, we will receive glorified bodies that will never age, but the greatest prize is this. God will be our God and we will be his sons.

 

Let us all think on this and look to Jesus for sustenance, one day at a time, just for today we need to find grace to put the body under…

 

Blessing to all that confess the Lord Jesus as Lord and for those who have not yet truly cried out to Jesus for rescue, today is the day and while you have breath you have hope. But call you must, if not, well, that is too terrible to contemplate.

A Watchman's Cry

 I greet all in the majestic and wonderful name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, this is a watchman call to all who have ears to hear; “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.” (Romans 8:6-7) 

 

Therefore remember whose eyes and ears are fixed on the wrong priorities will be in danger of missing the obvious warning signs we are and will continue to witness in upcoming events. Remember the parable of the virgins and their lamps? Are you ready? We all need to get our morning fix of our beloved Saviour, and this must become our priority. This should be a no-brainer, however, the world with all its lures so often can distract. Hence the reason to nail home the truth of God's word; “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.” Everything about your life will now look for wiggle room, justification for why it needs to happen. It’s time to fine-tune the dial, cut out the noise and remove the static, if not we have been warned. What will it be? Provision for the flesh and all that comes with that or will we seek out God’s grace with a sincere heart to focus on the Spirit of God, in simplified words, will our focus be on heavenly things?

 

I have purposefully not highlighted specifics, because if you are a child of God you will know what needs doing. Save to say this; the option we face daily, do we put on the mind of Christ or do we look to our carnal abilities to overcome the day? The voices out there will get louder and begin to single out the Christian (the true Christian), we will have a choice to shrink into a corner or find grace to be bold for our God and King. It will be jail time for some and even eventually death, but we are not quite there yet.

I’ll leave with words of our beloved Saviour; “So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32-33)

5 Minutes...

Finding the purpose in life is often spoken about directly or indirectly. We are inquisitive and frequently compete while inquiring about what others do—judging in the silent rooms of our minds. Be that as it may, I want us to ignore the trivia, because that’s all it is. Forget what you've accomplished here on earth if it does not envisage eternity as its main objective and goal.

 

Regardless of where you stand on your opinionated platform, please give me the next five minutes of your time.

·        In the Beginning… everything created had a beginning, some say evolution rings true while others, myself included cry without exception “GOD SAID” and so it happened…

·        Many gods compete for supreme authority, but there can only be one true God. And you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to sift through the rot. Christianity is the only religion that claims that Jesus is the son of God, whilst almost every other religion claims Jesus as a prophet. Only a false prophet would claim to be the Son of God and Jesus is very clear and on record claiming to be the Son of God. If you are seeking the answers to life you should be smelling a dead rat among some pages of literature.

·        So what locks so many into the lie? Deception is an ongoing tactic used to change the position of an individual from the ultimate goal, finding the answer to life!

·        Let us do some basic math: the average person lives 70 years maybe a little more, place that figure into a graph of eternity and what do you see?

·        The Bible is clear, Judgment is coming… everyone will stand before the judgment seat of the Lord Jesus Christ. There will be no place for the bribe or any wiggle room, for those not clothed in white apparel, or put another way, for those who do not have their names penned in the “Book of Life” They will be cast into a “Lake of Fire” for eternity, not a 70-year stint, but forever and ever with your consciousness in tacked. This is such a daunting thought it displeases me to contemplate but a reality we daren’t overlook.

·        Where do you stand? Where we all stand, whether we agree or not, God is the final authority and His rules stand.

·        Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father except through me.” How will we escape the Lake of Fire, and how will we find the answer to life? Make no mistake the day of God's judgment is coming and all those who turned a blind eye to the love of God's gift, escaping His sin judgment and the Lake of Fire. Will have no escape.

·        It’s the love of God that compels me to speak the truth on this issue, what you do with it is entirely up to you.

Conclusion; Beware of the lies the world and so many religions propagate. If you want true freedom, not the temporary freedom sin affords you, but for a moment. Ask yourself, why you are never actually satisfied. Sure sin buys us temporary satisfaction, but it is soon forgotten and we look for our next fix and the pattern continues until we find the solution to break the stronghold. We must consider the bigger picture and once our eyes fix on that reality, everything else will find its preferred place.

 

“For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

(Romans 10:13) – But call you must or the Lake of Fire will be your final destination

Fear of the Walking Dead

  

As I wipe the sleep from my eyes and consider the thoughts that flood my mind, there is a held position, “Fear of the walking dead”. A very successful TV series; a gruesome play on those who die and yet revive as zombies with a hunger for human flesh who cannot be easily killed. The only way to terminate a zombie is through a head wound. Stop the brain from working. I have so many flashes about the undertones this demonstration hides in plain sight.

It is a story about a virus that captivates the planet, (sound familiar?) and the fear it strikes on all who seek to live a normal life under extreme circumstances…

Satan has at every opportunity tricked people into believing lies as if they were gospel. I think that is one of his strongest weapons, did he not deceive Eve in the beginning? And he continues to beguile the masses on so many levels, after all, he is the father of lies. “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44)

Fear is something we all experience, sadly we place all our energy on the wrong emphasis. We fear house break-ins, viruses and even death as the worst possible outcome. However, death is only the beginning of eternity. But how much thought goes into eternity? This is where we must learn to place most of our energy, yes! Live for today thinking of eternity and how that will play out. It is no use quoting ridiculous quotes like “that’s why we must live our lives to the fullest”. Really! And then what? The Lake of Fire for eternity? One of the toughest lessons we need to learn is how to apply our minds to sound doctrine, on the one hand, we have Satan leading the masses down the rabbit hole as he toys with innuendo and the like laughing at the simplicity of mankind’s weaknesses. Sin is the overarching snare of all flesh, and you may want to believe you are not as bad as the rest, yet you still succumb to its power when you are not walking in the Spirit. This has become a phenomenal reality for me, the power sin has over our lifestyles and the confusion it throws into our rational. It gets us to evaluate error as if it is truth according to the standards of God. We accuse others whilst excusing ourselves. If we find ourselves doing this it is an immediate indicator that we are walking in the flesh. We have been taken captive by the power of sin, don’t complicate it. See it and seek out the grace of God to align our rudders. How do we do that? Firstly we acknowledge we need help, then we cry out to Jesus and examine the Word of God for direction. “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16) – The context of Paul's train of thought leading into this verse is that we must not backbite, but rather love each other. Now love does not mean we excuse our sins as license, that is a lie and a trap set to confuse. “The liberty Christ freed us from is not licentious liberty: Though Christ has freed us from the curse of the law, yet he has not freed us from the obligation to it: the gospel is the doctrine according to godliness (1 Tim 6:3).” (Matthew Henry) – Simply the law shows us where we have failed and what areas we need to work on and find grace to overcome. To take counsel from the “walking dead” (those who refuse to bend the knee to our glorious Saviour) is simply a trap with no exception. And remember it's your mind they are after. It is obvious how even churches that once held to this principle are now buckling to the voices of the world and allowing error to have supremacy. The most obvious indicator of all is same-sex marriage. Scientific influence mingled with creation and global warming over God's judgement. And the deeper we dig the more we unpack.      

Life is filled with so many distractions; although we partly know how to walk in the Spirit and understand that this is what keeps our eyes fixed on the ultimate goal; to be like Jesus… there will always be something that looks to justifiably distract. Psychologists looking to uncover past sins as our problem. But like most half-truths, it only gives us enough truth to embellish lies as a way of life. A cleverly design trap from the underworld. No doubt one of the reasons the Lord Jesus felt it necessary to halt any doubt around mystical theology, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Thank You!

Another early morning, is the highlight of my day, as I find myself sitting at the feet of Jesus and listening for his voice. A challenging concept for many to understand and yet for the privileged few as real as sipping a cup of coffee and experiencing satisfaction as the warm liquid hits your taste buds. So long as you come in faith believing that you will receive. No fanfare or boast just a romantic moment between an individual and God. A troposphere that is filled with peace. Thank you, Lord, for moments like these, where you allow me the privilege to cut out all the noise and allow me to thank my Saviour for saving my soul. You see it's all because of the brilliant work of my glorious Saviour the Lord Jesus. God sent His Son born of a woman under the law, that we (born-again believers) might receive the adoption of sons. And now because we are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, allowing us to cry ABBA FATHER! – However, what is even more glorious is that we know God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the great I AM! The switch in a believer's understanding has been activated by knowing the truth and it is one thing to know God but to be known by Him is a whole different ball game. Billions of humans over time, but to be known by God as one of His sons, Wow! Where do you stand when asking yourself that question? To have a place in His eternal plan is a mindboggling thought which blows my mind into orbit. To have a place as a son with the creator of the universe, stop, and ponder that for a minute. What makes me so special? Absolutely nothing, in fact despite myself it is Jesus who is glorified. Justified Christians are not enemies of the cross, those doomed to eternal damnation, those destined to an eternity of torment in the Lake of Fire. Sadly all who end up there will be surprised at first, but when all has been revealed they will understand the error of their ways. I must reiterate many false prophets will have something to say about the Lord Jesus’ sacrifice, and all who oppose his resurrection are liars and working for the enemies of God. I know what I believe, how about you?

 

With all this overload of thought, I am brought back to reality, to think that God would consider saving a wretch like me blows my mind. I AM THANKFUL! God understands the beginning from the end, knowing all things and not bound by time and yet in hindsight, with all my mistakes, there are many. I have begun to understand my life and all its blunders and being bound by time, is irrefutably the most amazing gift an individual will ever receive, the forgiveness for their sins; when they have no merit in themselves to warrant forgiveness. And yet, God sent his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to pay the price for the sinner, sadly, of which I am utmost. It is the self-righteous that seem to miss their need for a Saviour. Nevertheless, even someone like me finds themselves sitting at the feet of Jesus listening to his sweet voice, don’t get me wrong it is not audible but rather a consciousness that triggers thoughts of thankfulness and love for what one has been saved from, the wrath of God. For all those who refuse to repent, Judgement is coming! It will be very fearful to fall into God's hands if you are on the wrong side of His love. Today is the day of salvation, call out to Jesus, the day is soon approaching when the door to God's love will close for the sinner…

Its Coming...

Again another sleepless night, how people carry on with their lives and daily routines as if nothing else matters. Oblivious to the fact that death is coming. Yes, death is coming for all, it is an inescapable fact. The older we get the wiser we become to the fact that death is coming for all. Deception of the highest order always overshadows the truth, sadly we have been sealed by sin. You can thank Adam for that! Satan, the devil is the father of lies. The lie started with him and from there the rest is history. SIN is the downfall of mankind. Whether you stand in the camps of belief or unbelief, the truth will be revealed to all on judgment day. However, that needs to be avoided at all costs. Not Judgement Day, which we have no control over, God has instituted that day and it is coming. But for the saint, that day will look a little different, yes we will be judged but not for our sins as the Lord Jesus has already paid for that.

However, the unbeliever will be judged for their sins and serve the just recompense. This is such a shocking thought but the day is coming. The Bible is clear on this! If it is such an obvious conclusion why do so many not understand? Their sin has blinded them from this truth. They have believed a lie. I must expose this lie.

God is love, we have all heard that before, and yet we have retorts like how can a God of love let babies be abused and killed? Objections that have been bandied around to divert us from the real issue, which is, you are a sinner and you will pay for your sin, period! The sentence is eternal, with no escape. We must get this, if not I don’t even want to think of the anguish behind a sentence of eternal damnation. But for those who reject God's love your day is coming. And make no mistake God has laid out the conditions of that contract with no wiggle room attached. You come His way or you will pay the price. Don’t let the lie in your head trick you into believing you will negotiate some favourable terms on that day. Without Christ’s covering of righteousness eternal damnation in a Lake of Fire with the devil and his angels forever and ever will be your end. You now know the truth, obviously, for many of you the doubts will come and the objections will rage. I have told the truth and I do not lie, unless your name is found in the Book of Life you will end up in the Lake of Fire.

“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-15)

Birth Pains

The beginning of birth pangs, Yip! This is where we are I truly believe it now…

 

So what does that mean and what must we look for? The sign of the times is the cry from every corner.  The Gen z’s cry foul! And accuse the Baby Boomers of destroying the planet. The Millennials have jumped on board and have chosen a side to reverse the damage. Just about everyone is now on board trying to save the planet. RECYCLE is the cry! It is neither here nor there, just as long as you are not swept away by the underlying message of deception that will eventually take the world by storm. As it is already playing out. Experts are replacing God’s judgement with a phenomenon called Global warming. Floods, heat waves, mudslides and earthquakes are ramping up just like a woman pregnant before her term, BIRTH PAINS!  “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.”  (Matthew 24:6-8) 

 

When those contractions begin to shorten you better be sitting on the edge of your seat and taking note, you don’t want to be caught sleeping. Remember the parable of the 10 virgins five were wise and five foolish. Five had oil in their lamp but the other five had lamps but no oil for their lamps. God's judgement is here and it is now about to ramp up, early days yes but it is happening.

 

The Lord Jesus has warned us, bless HIS HOLY NAME! “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),” (Matthew 24:15) We need to be watching the conflict in Israel with a keen eye. All I am willing to say on this is that God will have the final say, as HE always has and always will, make sure you are covered by the righteousness of Christ, if not there is no hope for you, for God's JUDGEMENT IS COMING like never seen before. One-third of the earth will be destroyed by fire, not because of plastic bottles or cattle farming but rather because of God’s wrath. The time is coming when God will say “Enough is enough”!

 

After everything He has done for his creation in and through His only begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ and the way he has made for all to find forgiveness in HIM and the Bible's direction to keep us grounded in HIS truth and yet so many believe they have a better way or a better understanding on how they should conduct themselves, the creature (that which is created) taking preference and being worshipped whilst the creator is at best just an afterthought! GODS JUDGEMENT IS COMING!

 

Seek the Lord while He may still be found… while the door to God’s forgiveness remains open for all, make haste, turn from your sins, that part of your life that you give license to as if it is your right. Cry out to Jesus, believe in your heart that he is the way, the truth and the life! Again, this means there is no only way to find forgiveness from God, nor any other God who has earned the right to forgive your sins. Call upon the name of Jesus, earnestly cry out to Him and your eyes will be opened to the cosmos and all of God’s brilliance. This event happens simultaneously with your confessing to God for your sin and what is known as the “born again” experience.

 

Your spirit needs God's seed to quicken and awaken your soul. Think about it like this, most have seen a 3D movie, take your seat without glasses next to a person with the appropriate glasses, and you will both see the same movie but with entirely different experiences. Just like two people listening to a preacher. The unsaved receive the message as carnal individuals based on what they hear on morals and ethics, whilst the born-again believer hears the voice of God speaking to them through scripture.

 

This is what Jesus Christ accomplished for us by dying for our sins and then with God raising him from the dead. This is an independent choice that each individual will have to process.

 

It's not about the money preacher who slanders Christianity and steals from the poor, their day is coming. Take a moment to cut out the noise, still your mind and ask yourself, do you believe that Jesus Christ has made a way to escape God’s judgement? If you believe, the retort is simple, cry out to Jesus and you will be saved… “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

How to be saved, simplified

 Q: Why do you love the Lord Jesus?

A: Because He first loved me and rescued me.

Q: What do you mean by "He rescued me"?

A: Have you ever told a lie?

Q: Yes.

A: Have you ever stolen something?

Q: Yes.

A: Then what does that make you?

Q: I suppose a liar and a thief; if I am honest about my actions.

A: Right! Then you are a sinner, and sinners will

receive just recompense. In other words, they will be judged on Judgment Day by

the Creator of the universe.

Q: Who is that?

A: The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Q: So how do I avoid that judgment?

A: Believe with all your heart that the Lord Jesus died on a cruel, rugged cross. He was crucified as a sinner yet was without sin; He never breached one of God's commandments. God became a man (Jesus), born of a virgin (Mary), and He lived on earth for 33 years, giving hope to the weak and sickly. He was tried as a sinner, found guilty, and then crucified. On the third day, God raised Him from the dead. Now that He has paid the price for sinners, we need to be covered by His act, His righteousness, to escape God's judgment. It is coming. If we confess our sins, acknowledge that we need forgiveness, and cry out to the Lord Jesus, believing that He paid the price for our sins and that God raised Him from the dead, and we are willing to confess that with our mouths, we will be saved. In other words, we will escape the judgment that will come upon all men and women who reject this gift of grace from God.

"Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.  For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:9-11)
